Rebecca Tunks is a conceptual artist whose practice explores the overlooked details embedded within urban and cultural landscapes. Working primarily with photography and digital collage, she constructs photomontages that document and reimagine the typologies of everyday objects that shape our collective environment. Her work examines themes of memory, identity, and the impact of globalisation, revealing the patterns and visual languages that define contemporary civilisation.

Tunks’ ongoing series, Art of Travel, began in 2008 and reflects her extensive travels across India, Switzerland, Australia, London, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, and beyond. By capturing and arranging familiar yet distinct urban fragments, she explores the tension between uniformity and uniqueness in built environments. Through repetition and layering, her montages dissolve conventional spatial hierarchies, inviting viewers to experience the often-unseen structures of their surroundings.
